Panzi has partnered with Children of Panzi and Elsewhere to provide critical support for children affected by conflict-related sexual violence.

Child survivors and children born of rape in eastern Congo desperately need our support. Young children and babies are paying the price of the on-going conflict and pervasive climate of impunity. On top of physical and emotional wounds, these children are frequently stigmatized or even excluded from their communities.

Together, we can provide these children with the accompaniment, support, and love they deserve.

Panzi Hospital and Foundations has partnered with Les Enfants de Panzi et d’Ailleurs (The Children of Panzi and Elsewhere) to support child survivors and children born of rape as they navigate their lives at home, in their schools, and in their communities.

Children of Panzi and Elsewhere keeps children in their communities and helps them to integrate with the compassionate guidance and care of psychotherapists who help them make sense of the physical and emotional pain they’ve endured.

The Children of Panzi and Elsewhere was founded in 2015 by four determined and compassionate women who wanted to support children living in conflict zones. They knew that short-term responses would not suffice, but rather endeavored to create long-term support models alongside a network of local stakeholders to ensure the health, safety, and prosperity of children growing up in adverse circumstances.
